Biography:

Rafael Rodrigues Black Belt second degree in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, married with Camila, got 2 sons Joao Felipe and Pedro Henrique, was born in small town Taubate / Sao Paulo - Brazil. Rafael started training BJJ at 1998, after 11 years of dedicated himself to soft art and MMA in 2009 he got the Black Belt of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from the hands of legend Jorge Patino "Macaco" together with teachers Antonio Carlos "Caca" and Augusto Luiz " Pulga".

Question: What does it mean to be a fighter?

Answer: Being a fighter means success in my career, because that's what I've always wanted since I started BJJ.

Answer: Well defined goals and focus, so that strategic drills are applied.

Question: What seperate you form every other fighter in your division?

Answer: My heart, my goals and my family.

Question: What is the meaninhg of success in your mind?

Answer: Success and see that the training strategies were applied correctly, generating great results.

Question: With whom you would like to fight?

Answer: Rafael Mendes because for me he is the best and I like challenges.

Question: How does a beginner will prepare for the competition? Any advice for beginners?

Answer: Respect your body, training hard, training smart and never give up.

Question: How Martial arts helps to build leaders?

Answer: A great leader needs to have emotional balance, discipline, dedication, confidence, patience and never give up on the first problem. So you can find all this things in martial arts.

Question: To whom you would like to compliment for your success?

Answer: First God after my mother, my brothers, my wife Camila who takes care of my diet and always supports me, my sons Joao Felipe and Pedro Henrique, who always hopes for a medal from their father, that motivates me even more, my former teachers and my current teacher, my friends and training partners.

Question: Who is your favorite legendary fighter?

Answer: My favorite fighter would have to be Rafael Mendes. He has the best jiu jitsu and skills. It means pure talent.
